Refund Policy

Sha Tin Group maintains a transparent refund policy governing fees paid during the loan application and conditional approval process. This policy applies to government registration fees (USD 20,250), document validation and legalisation charges, treasury registration in Hong Kong and China, and legal representation fees (USD 8,000) for remote loan closure. All refund requests are reviewed by our Finance Officer and Compliance team.

General Principle. Fees remitted to third-party government agencies, treasury departments, and document legalisation services are non-refundable once processing has commenced, as these funds are disbursed to external authorities and government-accredited financial advisors on the borrower's behalf. Sha Tin Group acts as facilitator and maintains full receipt documentation in your borrower dashboard.

Conditional Approval Withdrawal. If a borrower voluntarily withdraws after conditional approval but before final approval, document validation fees (USD 5,000) may be partially refunded if validation has not commenced. Treasury registration fees (USD 10,000) are refundable only if registration has not been initiated with Hong Kong or China authorities. Legalisation fees (USD 5,000) follow the same principle.

Application Rejection. If Sha Tin Group declines an application after conditional approval due to internal underwriting decisions, all Sha Tin Group-administered fees will be refunded within 15–20 working days, minus third-party costs already incurred and non-recoverable. You will receive email and dashboard notification when processing begins.

Legal Representation Fees. The USD 8,000 legal fee is fully refundable if cancelled before attorney assignment. Once an attorney is assigned and document preparation begins, fees become non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

Duplicate Payments. Accidental duplicate payments are refunded in full within 14 business days upon verification. Report errors to info@shatin-hk.com with payment receipts and application reference.

Refund Process. Submit requests via the borrower dashboard Messaging Centre or email info@shatin-hk.com with application reference, payment receipts, bank details for refund, and reason for request. Approved refunds are processed via wire transfer to the original payment account within 15–20 working days. International transfers may require additional clearing time depending on correspondent banks.

Disputes. Escalate refund disputes to our Compliance Officer at info@shatin-hk.com. Final decisions are communicated within 15 business days of escalation review. This policy does not affect statutory rights under Hong Kong consumer protection legislation where applicable.
